He has also been Founder Secretary of the Young Farmers Association, Amravati , Founder President of Junior Chambers International, Akola, Founder Secretary of Vidhya Nagar Cooperative Housing Society, Akola, Secretary of Vidarbha Photographer Association, Akola, Founder VP of Giants group of Akola, Founder Secretary & President of The Maharashtra Society of Extension Education, VP of Indian Society of Extension Education, New Delhi, NCC Officer, NSS Incharge, Chief Editor, Chief Hostel Warden, Founder Secretary of Maharashtra Kirat Samaj, Pune, Founder Secretary General of International Society of Extension Educatio and Member of Krishak Bharti Cooperative Limited for Maharashtra region.
He has also been appointed as Examiner and Guide for Research Students.
He has also visited U.K., France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, USA and Canada and studied the Extension Activities of different countries in the year 1984.
He has been awarded Life Time Achievement Awards by International Society of Extension Education (2015), Indian Society of Extension Education (2002) as well as Maharashtra Society of Extension Education (1999).
Dr. Charudatta Digambarrao Mayee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AFC, holds a Doctorate degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi and Post-Doctoral from University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart (Germany). He did his Post-Doctoral, Alexander von Humbolt Fellow from University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart (Germany) and also holds membership of many scientific committees.
Dr. Mayee served as the Chairman of Indian Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) and also as Agricultural Commissioner in the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Govt of India. Prior to this, he also had a stint as Director of ICAR’s Central Institute of Cotton Research (CICR), Nagpur and Vice Chancellor of Marathwada Agriculture University, Parbhani.
Dr.CD Mayee is a renowned cotton scientist currently serving as President of South Asia Biotechnology Centre (SABC) and Vice President of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), New Delhi. He has done extensive research in Plant Pathology, Epidemiology and Management, Human Resource Development, Cotton Improvement and Biotechnology. He has also been chosen as a Member, African Biosafety Network Expertise, Burkina Faso and International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-Biotech Applications (ISAAA). He has done extensive research in Plant Pathology, Epidemiology and Management, Human Resource Development, Cotton Improvement and Biotechnology.
In view of his outstanding contributions, Dr.Mayee has been conferred with various awards and honours - Prof. M.J. Narasimhan Academic Award, 1974, V.P. Prof. K. Narayana Gowda had distinct academic track throughout his carrier, recipient of Gold Medal for outstanding performance in Ph.D. from UAS, Bangalore. Prof. Gowda served in 14 different positions in the University for more than four decades and the most important ones are: Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mudigere, Chikkamagaluru district, Head, Farmers Training Institute, Extension Coordinator, EEU, Bengaluru, Professor (IFFCO Chair), Prof. & Head, Department of Agril. Extension, Project Coordinator, RBRC project funded by DBT, GOI, thereafter as the Dean of Agriculture College, Bengaluru and finally as Vice-Chancellor of UASB for a period of four years (July 2010 to June 2014). Prof. Gowda has guided 11 M.Sc (Agri.) and 11 Ph.D. students who have occupied very important positions in the National and International Institutions.
Individually Prof. Gowda has received 16 awards; most important ones are Swami Sahajanand Best Extension Scientist Award of ICAR and Life Time achievement award of International Society of Extension Education (INSEE), Nagpur, both presented by the President of India. During period as Vice-Chancellor, UAS Bengaluru secured fourteen distinct awards including the prestigious Sardar Patel Best Institution Award of ICAR during 2013, recognizing UAS (B) as number one Farm University from among 71 Farm Universities in the Country.
Currently, he is actively engaged in inspiring, promoting, guiding and functioning of various farmers based organizations in Karnataka and other states in the Country besides promoting professional extension work among various concerned institutions and required policy frame work for the state and the country.
Dr. V.V. Sadamate Former Adviser Agriculture, Planning Commission ( born 1st June,1953 at Deshing, Maharashtra), did his graduation from Pune Agriculture College (1973) and Masters / PhD programmes in Agricultural Extension from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi in 1975 &1979 respectively. Pursued Post - Doc from Michigan State University, USA as a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar. Obtained advanced Extension Management training at Wisconsin, Cornell Universities and Royal Institute of Public Administration (RIPA) London, UK. Widely travelled on extension studies/trainings, consultancies and collaborative programmes.

Surajit Roy heads the Apprenticeship Division at the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). He is the harbinger of Apprenticeship in its present form in India. While at the NSDC, he also headedthe Education, Sector Skill Council Governance, RPL and Special Projects verticals. He is a student of Mayo College, Ajmer and a Postgraduate in Social Sciences from St Stephens College Delhi. Having a work experience of more than 35 years, he has served both in the govt and the private sector. He is a formal Civil Servant and served the Delhi Govt, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Administration for nearly 25 years.
